Bridal Glow – Skin prep for a stunning Makeup look

It’s Wedding time!

Leading up to your wedding day, it’s all about how you prep your skin for that Bridal Glow. Just as your wedding gown will need alterations, and your hair may need color & cut… your makeup will only look it’s very best if your skin is correctly and carefully prepared. Flawless skin should probably be one of the top priorities for your wedding day.

For those of you ladies who do not wear much makeup on regular days, or none for that matter…  you may not realize the importance of prep work your skin needs to achieve the goal of flawless skin. Picture this… you just bought a home that you fell in love with but the only thing you know you will have to do is to re-paint the walls as it’s very obvious that they are in a rough shape. Say, the colors of the walls are not what you fancy and you want to change it, or take off that ugly wall paper and give it more earthy and natural look. First you will need to strip the walls off of any existing paint/wallpaper in order to prep it for that brand new long-lasting color that you want to give your new room, right? Most likely you will need to scrape off the old texture of the wall, sand it down for a clean ready to prime surface. Now think of your face as that wall you want to prep for a fresh coat of paint. I think you get the picture now… Your skin (face and body) also needs a cleaning and prepping. Deep pore cleansing, exfoliation and hydration is key. There are very inexpensive ways to do this yourself at home, or pampering in the Spa is also an option. Up to you, whatever fits the budget.

A Makeup Artist such as myself can put in best talent and effort in the makeup application, but if the surface of your skin is not smooth, free of dead skin, dirt and oil… your “Look” will not be that of the Bridal Glow. Instead your makeup will look dull, matte and flaky and what Bride wants that?! And not just for the Bride to Be… it’s for anyone that wants that “Glow” on any special occasion or everyday.

You will want to start thinking about this at least 2 months before the Big Day.

If you don’t already have a regular skin care regimen, you will definitely want to start this about a few months prior to your wedding. If you’re unsure how to even start, I’m here to help. Just drop a comment below or contact me directly… you can find how to reach me here About Agnes I will be more than happy to assist. Like I mentioned already, the key is to de-clutter your face and body from dead skin, dirt and oils that clog your pores and cause all kinds of skin problems. You want your skin to look smooth, fresh & clean like a new canvas ready for some extra beautifying and enhancements with makeup on your wedding day.

Your Makeup Look will be Flawless, Healthy and Glowing.

In order to achieve that, exfoliating masks, scrubs, cleansers and rejuvenating serums will be required. And don’t forget… drink lots of WATER!!! Hydrating your skin from the inside is a huge help. Sleep is another important factor, prevents those dark puffy eyes. So rest, hydrate and eat well. Try not to stress too much, that alone can cause skin problems.
